WOMEN
VIOLENCE 1975-77
In the mid seventies, and living in Washington DC, she was a graduate student
at the Corcoran School of Art, an experimental contemporary centre that
was a link to professional artist for the young ones. The school had a team
of active artist professors as well as workshops, personalized studies,
showrooms and so on. One of the teachers was the feminist artist Mary Beth
Edelson that shared with me ideology ant projects. In those years the student's
democratic movements were at their peak in America after the end of the
Vietnam War and the refusal of the Chilean and Argentinean dictatorship
and the end of the Spanish Franco era.
In that period she worked on the series on women's violence.
